Intro To I Ching and Objectives
The I Ching, also known as the Book of Change, is an ancient Chinese divination text that dates back over 3,000 years. It is considered one of the oldest books in the world and has been used as a tool for spiritual guidance, philosophical reflection, and sometimes unfortunately downgraded to fortune-telling instrument.
The I Ching is composed of a series of hexagrams, each made up of six lines representing yin (negative) and yang (positive), the two complementary forces of the universe that balance each other off. Through the interpretation of these hexagrams, practitioners of the I Ching seek insight into the nature of reality, the dynamics of change, and the path to personal growth and fulfilment.
Although the main objective of this site is more toward the appreciation of digital arts (in the Menu under “Artworks”), and how they could fill-in the void of traditional arts in terms of coverage and spectrums using I Ching as an example, downgrading the process to just documentation and activating its divine calculating method is simply impossible. As such, the end product here is a functioning I Ching instrument that art appreciators and businessmen alike could use to guide them in their daily-life by asking a question, particularly in the following areas where such needs are warranted by pressing the bottom below:
Directional;
Advice;
Problem Solving;
Wishes;
Spiritual food;
Reasoning;
Etc.
Allow the system to calculate and settle in. Wait for a minute or two. The final answer is the one without flashing or blinking. Please remember to take a snapshot of the answer or write down everything as it would come in handy while you read the detailed answer, located in the Menu under “Oracle and Detail Answer”.
Whereas I may humbly claim I am a technical-oriented person who has a strong interest in arts, making me a “lone-ranger” in art productions (as opposed to a team of programmers and artists), thus making me a rather “truly digital” artist, I cannot claim I am an expert in I Ching. Please use the Book Of Change here with cautions and consult other literature for more in-depth knowledge. Given what I Ching could offer, the presentation here, although not without research, could be considered very elemental and I hold no responsibility to the use of the system here.
