The hexagram symbolizes restraint and obstacle. If you have faith and endure through it, you can achieve your wishes. In other words, although difficulties and obstacles cannot be avoided, they are not too big a problem and can be resolved soon.

Obstacles may be in sight and must be removed. What is the real obstacle? It is normally the invisible and intangible evil hidden in in the heart. Being able to overcome these is the same as overcoming obstacles. Anyone may encounter obstacles and difficulties but there is nothing that cannot be solved. No matter what are the difficulties and obstacles, as long as you have perseverance, you can solve them.

We all may encounter different obstacles and difficulties. A company president may worry about employee payrolls. A politicians may have worries that ordinary people don’t have. A wealthy man may worry about paying taxes while a poor man is worrying about his utility bills. Parents may be worried about their children, but children not be worried about their parents. All obstacles and troubles are caused by circumstances around us, and nothing is unsolvable. Only fatalists think that “everything is fate, and there is no way out.”

It would be naïve of you to see thick clouds and think that it would not rain. The positive and correct thinking is to accept that it would rain, but the rain would be soon over, no matter how thick the cloud is. The key is to take it easy, be patient, do not accept it is fate if you want to go out. So what if you get yourself a bit wet along the way?
